Rajnikant wishes Robot to spread the same magic as Sholay
Hefty budget or big stars in the movie doesn't mean that movie is a super duper which is the fact well understood by south superstar Rajnikant. On the music launch of Robot some of the biggest names of the entertainment industry gathered like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajnikanth and A.R Rahman.
Rajnikant in his little speech full of wit made everybody laugh and mentioned that this role was first offered to Kamal Hassan and then Shahrukh Khan however he landed up in the role which proves that ''Daane daane pe likha hai khane wale ka Naam'.
Along with some humor he also added that Sholay one of the biggest movie of Indian Cinema reached that status not just because it had big budget, had big stars or contained latest technology however it became so big because of its story line up, acting of the stars and amazing screenplay.
Rajni mentioned that 'Robot' also contains all the qualities of Sholay and has a unique story, along with this it has big budget of Rs. 160 crore and technical excellence.
Director Shankar has made the movie bilingual as 'Robot' in Hindi and 'Endhiran' in Tamil. Aishwarya Rai plays the female lead opposite Rajnikant in both the versions.
Music was launched by Amitabh Bachchan whom Rajnikanth always admires and calls him his inspiration.
With all the things mentioned, this movie is bound to be one of the biggest hot of the year.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Lights Up 'Endhiran' Music Launch in Mumbai
Endhiran, the Robot which co-stars Tamil actor Rajinikanth, is a Tamil language action-packed science-fiction flick. Aishwarya plays a woman named Sharmili and Rajnikanth portrays Vaseegaran in the movie that took about two years to film.
The sci-fi film tells the story of Dr. Vaseegaran, a scientist who specializes in robotics. In true fashion, Dr. Vaseegaran creates a robot that looks like a human. He names the robot Chitti and introduces it to other humans, which obviously leads to some very fascinating situations!
After the music launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia earlier in August, the album hit the top spot on iTunes' online music album Top Charts! This is the first time in history that a Tamil movie soundtrack hits the iTunes top spot so the Bollywood belle had lots to celebrate at the Mumbai music launch!

Telugu and Kannada Endhiran sold?
Reportedly, the rights of the dubbed Telugu and Kannada versions of superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited Enthiran (Robot), directed by Shankar, has been sold. Sources now say that Sun Pictures sold the Kananda version for Rs. 9.75 crores and the Telugu version for a whopping Rs. 33 crores. The details about the buyers are still under wraps.
Meanwhile, talking to the media at the music release of Hindi version of Enthiran at JW Marriot on Saturday, superstar Rajinikanth said that Enthiran is the first Indian film of its type and every aspect of it is comparable to the cult Hindi movie Sholay.
"Around Rs. 160 crore has been invested to make the film. It's fantastic; technical excellence is there. Sholay made history not because of the money or budget involved, not because it was a multi-starrer, not because of the technicalities, but because of its subject. Like Sholay, in Robot too, there is an excellent storyline, excellent character sketches. It's science fiction and excellently made," he said.
Endhiran (Robo) Telugu rights have been sold for 27 crores. Surendra (VV Vinayak’s brother), along with another West Godavari distributor L.V.R bought the Endhiran (Robo) theatrical Telugu rights for 27 crores. This price for Endhiran (Robo) Telugu rights of 27 crores is the highest for any dubbing film.
Surendra already paid 12 crores as advance to the Sun Pictures. However, Sun Pictures has sold only the theatrical rights of the Robo Telugu. And they might retain the Satellite rights.
Rajinikanth ‘Endhiran’ is coming pushing aside all big Telugu movies like Pawan Kalyan ‘Komaram Puli’ and Mahesh Babu Mahesh Kaleja. Endhiran has unbelievable expectations as the movie has all the brand casting - Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, directed by Shankar, music by AR Rahman, Suun Pictures production etc.
Well, 27 crores is a huge price, although Robo has all the star casting. We have to wait and see how Robot plays
